About the Convention
The Love for Cars Convention is a one-of-a-kind gathering for everyday car lovers in Uganda. It’s not about showing off; it’s about sharing real passion, whether you’re a first-time owner, daily driver, mechanic, or just someone who enjoys the ride. The event brings people together to learn, connect, play, and celebrate what cars mean in our lives. From fun games to hands-on demos, expert talks, and community vibes, this is where love for cars truly comes to life.
The day will include activities like
- Mechanic and Technician Panel discussing car problems and possible solutions.
- Expert Panel discussing “The Social-Political environment, government plans and their impact on the car community.”
- Demonstration from mechanics and technicians, including electricians, engine rebuilders, diesel mechanics, Air conditioner experts, and spare parts dealers
- Q and A sessions
- Games and Contests between regular people, equipping us with even more car knowledge.
- Launch of the ‘Love of Cars Magazine’ and ‘My Car Diary’
- Drift show
- Real-time rebuild, installation and start of the 1nz engine in the corolla Namukadde
- Food and drink for all present
- Awards Ceremony for outstanding community members

Kasirye Richard has been working with and on Diesel Cars of all types for more than 15 years.
Hakim Ntege
Hakim Ntege has over 6 years of Experience in Car Programming working on diesel and petro cars.
Sam Kaija
Sam Kaija boasts of over 15 years of working air conditioning for cars and vehicles.
Kassim Kayondo
Kassim, popularly known as Kassim Benz, has been working on Mercedes-Benz since he was 10 years old in his father’s garage.
Bulesa Badu
Badru takes pride in keeping Petrol-powered vehicles on the road, combining Engine and Suspension works for more than 12 years.
Anonymous
A gearbox specialist with more than 15 years but prefers to be anonymous.
